Attitude
Attitude! What is yours staying about you?
Today's post is about attitude. Yes that's right, Attitude!
Attitude is one of the main issues in the world today. It is the characteristic
that defines a person. It can have both positive and negative effect on our
lives. Our attitude portrays who we are, and it can build us as the person
we want to be.
SO, we may ask ourselves these questions, “What exactly is Attitude?” How does it impact our lives?
And why is it so important to have a good attitude?
We can define attitude as; The mental state, or the position that is taken regarding
life and affairs. It is the physical action that describes who we are as a
person.
Our attitude can affect the people around us, either in a positive or a
negative way. As a person, our attitude reflects who we are, and it sometimes
shows us the direction we are going to take in life.
The attitude we portray can be influenced by the people around us,
especially the people we walk with. It is important to watch the group of
friends that we associate ourselves with, because it is easy to pick up
attitudes from friends. Don’t get me wrong! Am not saying it’s not
good to pick up good attitude. Yes, it is good to pick up good attitude
from others and use it to build yourself as a person. But, we tend
to pick up bad attitudes quickly than good attitude.
Although friends are good companions, we must be careful of who we
spend our time with and how they are affecting our life. Examine yourself and reflect on the way you have been
acting towards the people around you and try to trace where these attitudes may
be coming from.
It is important to master and learn how to control our attitude before
it controls us. Have you ever acted in a way you were surprised that you had acted
in such way? The reason why this might have been is due to lack of control.
Sometimes we tend to allow our attitude to control us instead of us controlling
our attitudes. If we don’t learn how to control our own attitude it can paint
us a really bad picture of ourselves and this is what people will see us as. We must
learn how to control our attitude before it controls us.
You must remember, in life, we have a choice to do anything we want to do. The choice is ALWAYS and always will be ours. We have a choice to be kind to people, to be friendly to them when they need a shoulder to lean on. We have a choice to either make our attitudes positive or negative. We have a choice to voice our attitude and make a difference in the world. The choice is always and always will be ours.

Wherever you go in the world, or whatever situation you may find
yourself, let your attitude reflect who you are as a person, let it portray
your true self. You never know what opportunity may be around the corner or who
may be looking up to you as a role model.
Is your attitude the attitude you want to see in others or is it the one
you want to change? What every the case may be, you have the choice, you’re
always in control. It’s never too late to change; the hardest part is
to realize it. Take control before it’s too late.
I’ll leave you with this quote by Lacocca;
“The greatest discovery is that human beings can alter their live... Simply by altering their attitude”- lee Lacocca
