Put God First

I've been super busy with college and work and had no time to sit and write until now! 28 days until another year clocks. Scary isn't it? It seems like 2017 flew by so quickly!

Today's post is about putting God first. I want to talk to you about the importance of having God in your life.

As a person who works towards success in life, I took a close look at the lives of people who are ahead of where I want to be. After doing some research on their lives, I found that most of them have one thing in common- their belief in God. It amazes me how they centred God in everything they do, and these are powerful, rich, influential and inspiring people! They all reference God in every single thing in their lives. They understand and believe that without Him they can not do anything. 

Most of them have passed through a lot of hardship and know what it means to submit themselves fully to God. They understand that their time and God's time is completely different and in order to achieve abundant blessing they must submit everything to Him. 

God is everything. His timing is unexplainable and His love is forever unconditional. He is love. He is a friend who is there when you call, who listens when you speak and who answers when you pray. 

One of the biggest steps you can take in achieving your goals and reaching happiness is knowing Him. When you know Him, everything will change, and I mean EVERYTHING!  Your life, your thinking, your attitude, and your way of dealing with situations will change.

Many people have neglected God. Why? Mainly for the simple reason of Him not being physically there. People question; A God that you don't see or hear but yet you must believe? How is that possible? Can it even be possible? But, is it not us that put in the work to achieve what we want in life? If God is as people claim He is, why didn't He help us that one time we needed Him the most? - These questions have been asked thousands of times by a lot of people. But what they don't know is that you can never know something or someone that you don't give time or effort to know. That's a fact! If you don't seek God,  how exactly are you going to understand or develop a belief in Him? 

You have to give Him a chance first in your life. Another thing that most people do is they blame God for every bad thing that happens in their lives. People believe that because God is a good God and if they believe in Him, everything in their lives has to be good. Some of the difficulties, hardships and sadness that we pass through are lessons for our growth. We pass through tough times in order to realise our own strength,  to push us out of our comfort zone and at times it makes us understand our own worth. It also opens doors that we never thought were there. But in everything, believe this or not, God is always there. He is living life with us, He loves us more, even if we love him less. His love is forever unconditional towards us.

If you want success, if you are eager and thirsty for success, then talk to God and seek after Him. Put Him first in everything you do. Yes, you will face difficulties in life, sometimes you will hit rock bottom, but stick with Him! 

Set your goals around your dreams and include God in everything. Include Him in your decisions, the small and big ones. Include Him in your home, your sadness, happiness, health, success and your world. 

Take little steps to get to know him and understand that without Him it's impossible to do anything.
